Now, he’s in the trenches with his clients as he owns and operates his own direct to consumer brand called Autumn DNA, as well as does performance marketing strategy and design work with Tierra Agency.
The AIDA Framework: The Key to High-Converting Landing Pages
In the discussion, Adam Pivko highlighted the AIDA framework (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action) as a simple yet powerful way to design landing pages that grabs attention and turn visitors into buyers. Instead of making small changes and hoping for better results, he stressed that brands must first get the basics right by making sure their page speaks directly to the customer from the moment they arrive.
The AIDA framework works like this:
- Attention – Catch the visitor’s eye with a strong headline and hero image that immediately shows why your product matters.
- Interest – Keep them engaged with a subheadline that explains clearly what makes your product special.
- Desire – Build trust with social proof like customer reviews, ratings, press, celebrity endorsement, etc.
- Action – Make the next step easy with a clear call-to-action (CTA) so visitors know exactly what to do.
Pivko stressed that all four elements must appear above the fold, which means everything the visitor sees without scrolling or clicking. He gives an example with the top of a newspaper before you unfold it, it is the first impression that decides whether someone stays or leaves. Many brands mistakenly spread these key points throughout the page hoping visitors will scroll to find them. But Pivko warns that this approach leaves too much chance and customers might lose interest before reaching the important parts.
